Welcome!
We are excited you will be coming to Leader Therapy for your treatment. In preparation for your first visit, please review our payment policy and insurance policy pages. You may also want to fill out your new patient forms to avoid this task at our office. If you decide to wait until your appointment to complete this information, please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time to be sure you can maximize the time you have with your physical therapist.
What should I wear?
Dress comfortably for your appointment and be prepared for physical activity. Your therapist may need to stretch your limbs or you may need to partially undress, depending on your diagnosis. We provide private treatment rooms and gowns for those needing to partially disrobe for their treatment. We usually recommend wearing what you may wear to exercise or relax at home. However, please don’t come to your appointment in your pajamas. 🙂
How long will my appointment last?
Your initial appointment will typically take 45 to 60 minutes. For subsequent visits, you should plan to be at our office for approximately 60 to 80 minutes per visit. We want to be sure we dedicate time to your therapy, so please be prepared to invest time to get better. We promise you will find it is time well spent.
Will I get time with my therapist at each visit?
Absolutely! We feel very strongly that a personal connection and one-on-one treatment is critical to your therapy, and there will never be a visit where you are not personally seen by a physical therapist. A physical therapist will closely monitor your progress on each visit. Part of your treatment may be spent actively exercising, or receiving a modality such as cold packs, and/or electrical stimulation. During these times of your appointment you may be attended by a physical therapy aide.
